Swim Lesson Safety Policy and Disclaimer
At Elite Swim Academy, your safety is our top priority. Please review the following safety policy and disclaimer to ensure a safe and enjoyable swim lesson experience:
Swim Lesson Environment:
Lessons will take place in [specific location, e.g., indoor pool, outdoor pool].
The pool area will be kept clean and free of hazards to the best of our ability.
Swim Instructor Qualifications:
Our instructors are trained and certified in [relevant certifications, e.g., CPR, lifeguarding, swim instruction].
We continuously update our skills and knowledge to provide you with the best instruction possible.
Participant Responsibilities:
Participants are required to follow the instructions of the instructor at all times.
Participants should inform the instructor of any medical conditions or physical limitations that may affect their ability to participate safely.
Safety Guidelines:
Children under the age of [specified age] must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during lessons.
Proper swim attire is required for all participants.
No running or horseplay in the pool area.

Disclaimer:
Participation in swim lessons involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of injury or illness.
Elite Swim Academy is not liable for any injuries or accidents that occur during lessons, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Cancellation Policy:
Please refer to our cancellation policy outlined separately for details regarding cancellations and rescheduling.
General Cancellation Policy:
Clients are required to provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations to avoid charges.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will incur a 50% charge of the scheduled lesson fee.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance will not incur any charges.
One-Time Emergency Same Day Cancellation:
Each client is granted one emergency same-day cancellation per calendar year without any penalties.
This policy applies specifically to unforeseen emergencies like pool malfunctions, weather, or a positive Covid test/ strep throat, or other unavoidable circumstance that prevent attendance on the scheduled day.
Exceptions:
In the event of technical difficulties (e.g., pool cover malfunction), if the lesson cannot proceed, clients will not be charged for that instance.
If technical difficulties occur more than once and prevent the lesson from taking place, clients will be charged 50% of the scheduled lesson fee for subsequent occurrences.
Policy Duration:
The one-time emergency cancellation privilege resets annually/ monthly on January 1st/ first of every month and does not carry over to the next calendar year.
Cancellation Notice:
Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they wish to cancel a scheduled lesson to avoid any charges.
Cancellations Made Less Than 24 Hours in Advance:
If a cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson, a 50% charge of the scheduled lesson fee will apply.

No-Shows:
If a client does not show up for their lesson without prior notice, the full lesson fee will be charged.

Health and Safety:
By participating in our swim classes, you acknowledge that you are in good health and have no medical conditions that would prevent you from safely participating in the activities. It is your responsibility to inform the instructor of any relevant medical conditions or special needs prior to the start of the class.
Assumption of Risk:
Swimming is an activity that involves inherent risks. By enrolling in our swim classes, you acknowledge and accept these risks. The facility and instructors are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during or as a result of participation in the swim classes.
Supervision and Responsibility:
For children and minors, parents or guardians are responsible for their supervision before, during, and after the class. The facility and instructors are not responsible for any supervision outside of class time.
Behavior and Conduct:
Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and safe manner. The facility reserves the right to remove any participant who fails to comply with safety guidelines or behaves inappropriately, with no refund provided.
Photo and Video Consent:
By participating in our swim classes, you consent to the use of any photographs or videos taken during the class for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be included, please inform the instructor or facility in advance.
Class Changes:
The facility reserves the right to make changes to class schedules, instructors, and content as needed. Participants will be notified of any significant changes.
